The Autumn Equinox has just passed and we are now beginning the slow gentle exhale into autumn and towards the celtic festival of Samhain (more commonly known as Halloween). This is an ancient fire festival that marks the end of the Celtic year. Traditionally observed from sunset on October 31st to sunrise on November 1st.
A powerful time of year as we begin our decent into the the dark months of winter. A time for reflection, It calls us to ask us what is dying in our own lives, what are we ready to let go of.
At Samhain it is said that the veil between worlds is at its thinnest, it is often seen as a portal time allowing access the otherworld. A time to journey deep into the void and communicate with those that have passed. A time to give thanks to our ancestors and all who have gone before us.
This will be the theme of our Poetry Dive, a deep invitation to connect to our inner worlds and see what may arise from behind the veil.
So what is a Poetry Dive?
A poetry dive is a full immersion in poems, music, movement and silence designed to free our feelings and our unique expression — through written words, voice, body, and silence. It is an opportunity to dive below the surface of our everyday consciousness, to rattle the cage of our beliefs and reveal the depths of our soul hidden beneath.
You will be guided through a journey of stillness, movement, sound and silence into an inner world where you can bathe in the undiscovered depths of yourself through deep listening within. We will immerse ourselves in music, poetry, dancing, writing and sharing all held in a strong vessel of shared intention and connection.
For me poetry is the language of the soul, of the feeling self, the language of intuition that can’t be understood, it needs to be felt in our tissues and bones.
During the poetry dive there will be an invitation into free writing, just letting the pen move without a plan, without knowing what wants to come. This is a place where the magic can happen, where our unconscious hidden world can be made known, helping us to get in touch with our inner feelings.
This is something I am passionate about and I’m excited to share what I deeply love with you.

Wow I loved it such a great experience we had a really good dance and shake first then the music changed and we lay down and let the words of the poems float over us. At some point I just needed to move and dance with the words like a moving, dancing meditation. It felt very shamanic I had pictures and colours coming to mind and so much emotion tears and laughter, I had no idea what to expect. My mind went quiet, it was so relaxing. It was a great experience it felt like a new way of finding myself. And the free writing at the end was very creative. I really enjoyed it, I will definitely be back for more! LL
