Spring Clean Your Qi – 2025

Seven Week Online Qigong Course For Spring

Spring can be a difficult time for us, as our bodies are moving from the most still Yin restful time of the year to a very Yang active energy of new growth. It’s a massive about-turn for our whole energy system and it can be tricky, leaving many of us feeling off-balance, easily triggered, stressed, anxious or frustrated.

In Chinese medicine the liver is responsible for the smooth flow of Qi or energy in our body, and in the spring this liver Qi is being challenged, as we come out of the winter stillness it can take a while for us to feel lively and able to take on new challenges. If our Liver Qi is struggling it can leave us feeling grumpy and restless, with headaches and brain fog, we may have sore, dry or itchy eyes and tired stiff achey joints.

But the good news is Qigong can help us, if we go slowly and listen to our bodies needs we can move from winter to spring feeling radiant and healthy.

A regular Qigong practice will help you to :

  • Shake off the winter sluggishness,
  • Stretch out tight muscles
  • Mobilise stiff and aching joints
  • Release heavy, stuck or difficult emotions
  • Wake up our Qi, internal power, our life force energy
  • Leaving us feeling vibrant, healthy and ready to take on the world

Here are a few of the Qigong practices we will explore:

The Deer Form – 🦌🦌🦌 this Qigong form helps us to embody the quality of the deer, both its gentleness and strength, with swift, light, supple and flexible movements we gently open and release tension from the back, neck, shoulders, hips and knees while invigorating and replenishing our energy.

Silk Reeling Qigong – Say goodby to stiff and painful joints – This practice is derived from the spiraling movements of spinning silk, it helps to lubricate the tissues of your joints, ligaments, and tendons using slow, graceful spiraling movements to overcome stiffness and cultivate more flexibility.

Nourish our Liver – We will work with the meridains and accupressure points related to the Liver and Gall Bladder, clearing stagnation, supporting healthy detoxification of our body, brightening our eyes. Allowing our Qi to flow smoothly and powerfully as nature intended.
